2023 Event Schedule
The N.I.T.E. Ride is not just a night-time event, but a full day packed with bicycling activities.

Saturday, July 8
10:00 am: Major Taylor Velodrome Races
Morning timed event race session on the track (begins 10:00 am) and a cyclocross race going on in the basin area (hosted by Midwest Devo) from 12:00-4:00 pm.
Evening Racing Session (begins 4:00 pm) will commemorate the Velodrome’s 40th Anniversary. We’ll be highlighting Major Taylor, the facility itself, history of the park, and more throughout the evening in addition to high-level race action.
Afternoon and Evening
Come Downtown, enjoy the Indy Greenways and the Cultural Trail, visit museums, watch an IMAX movie, stroll the Indianapolis Zoo, take in an Indy Eleven Soccer game at IUPUI's Carroll Stadium, shop Circle Center Mall, and more! For more information go to the 'Activites' page.
5:00 pm: N.I.T.E. Ride Dinner Ride

Start Location: Eli Lilly
Ride length is about 3-5 miles. Starts and ends at Eli Lilly. Maps and Ride Leaders are provided.
We’re back and ready for dinner! Join fellow N.I.T.E. Riders on a FREE five mile marked route to Amp Artisan Marketplace at 16 Tech for dinner.
The ride is free. But dinner is on your own dime. Meet back up with the group after dinner or leisurely return to Eli Lilly on your own (maps provided) before the start of the N.I.T.E. Ride.
Check-In for the Dinner Ride begins at 4:30 pm. (Need precise start loation.)

Registration, Check-In, & CIBA Merchandise Booth opens at Eli Lilly. Packet pickup includes a T-Shirt, snack and drink. Entertainment during pickup.

What Should I Bring?
* Bicycle - in good working order!
* BICYCLE HELMET REQUIRED! Eye protection (clear riding glasses) also recommended
* HEADLIGHT REQUIRED! Bicycle Garage Indy will have headlights for sale at the event.
* Bring a piece of I.D., tools for minor repairs, and rain gear just in case
* NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON THE RIDE! Remember, drinking and bicycling don't mix!
* Know and obey Indiana traffic laws! Stay on your side of the center line; stop at red lights
and stop signs; obey course marshals and ride officials; ride predictably and courteously!
Perks for Pre-Registered Riders
All pre-registered riders who register before June 14 will receive one N.I.T.E. Ride T-shirt, plus any
additional shirts purchased with your registration, in the size(s) you selected. If you did not indicate a T-shirt
size, you may be given an XL T-shirt. If you register on the day of the event, you will NOT
receive a T-shirt. All registered riders will receive refreshments at the Rest Stop and the Post-Ride Dinner.
Special Edition N.I.T.E. Ride extra T-shirts will be on sale, subject to availability, through
10:45 PM.

Parking
Parking options are listed on the NITE Ride Parking page. We also encourage participants to carpool or ride their bikes to the event.
Service/Repair Area Access
Prevent bicycle breakdown on the NITE Ride route by having your bike checked for service/repairs prior to the day of N.I.T.E. Ride at your local bike store. If on the day of the NITE Ride you need assistance, please bring your bike to Bicycle Garage Indy's store for service and repair. BGI will have supplies available for purchase and can assist with minor repairs before the ride. Save yourself the frustration of suffering a break down the day of by having your bike checked out beforehand.
